Resume Builder & ATS Scanner ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how resume data, imported files, and AI-generated content are handled when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account details you provide, such as your email address, display name, sign-in method, and basic profile information.
  • Resume and profile content you create or edit in the app, including contact details, work history, education, skills, summaries, certificates, projects, profile photo, and similar career information.
  • Imported materials you choose to process, including camera captures, gallery images, PDF files, and Word files. During import, temporary cached copies may be created on your device so the app can read and process the file safely.
  • AI and OCR inputs and outputs, including resume text, job descriptions, prompts, extracted text, and generated suggestions when you use resume import, ATS analysis, AI writing, chat editing, or cover-letter features.
  • App activity, device, and diagnostic information such as app version, platform, basic usage events, and crash or troubleshooting data where those features are enabled and supported.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • create, save, sync, export, and manage your resumes and profile data;
  • process imports from camera, gallery, PDF, and Word files;
  • extract text, parse resume fields, and prefill import preview screens;
  • provide AI-powered features such as ATS analysis, resume suggestions, AI editing, summary generation, and cover-letter generation;
  • manage subscriptions, trial access, purchases, and feature limits;
  • secure the app, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability and product quality;
  • respond to support requests and important service communications.

3. Storage, Sync, and Security

  • Guest-mode data is primarily stored locally on your device.
  • If you create or use an account, your resume data, profile data, usage state, and related content may be synced to cloud services that power the app.
  • We use encrypted connections for data in transit and rely on platform and provider security controls for stored data.
  • No security system is perfect, but we use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information.

4. Third-Party Services and Processing

To provide the app, we may use trusted service providers such as:

  • Firebase services for authentication, database, storage, and backend support;
  • OCR and document-processing infrastructure, including server-side services used to extract text from images, PDFs, and Word files;
  • AI service providers, including Groq, to generate or analyze resume-related content for features you actively use;
  • RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play for subscriptions, purchase restoration, and billing-related status;
  • analytics, diagnostic, or notification providers where enabled by the app configuration.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing.

5. Permissions and Your Choices

The app may request access to your camera, photo library, files, or notifications only when those permissions are needed for a feature you choose to use, such as importing a resume, selecting a profile photo, or receiving reminders.

6. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

  • Guest data may remain on your device until you remove it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
  • Account data may remain in our systems until you delete it or request deletion, subject to limited backup, security, fraud-prevention, and legal retention needs.

7. Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational updates. When required, we will post the updated version in the app or otherwise notify you. Your continued use of the app after the effective date of the update means the revised policy will apply.
